EuroSDR (European Spatial Data Research) is a not-for-profit organisation that brings together national mapping and cadastral agencies, research institutes, universities and companies across Europe to advance applied research in spatial data provision, management and delivery. By acting as a collaborative hub, EuroSDR enables its members to share expertise, develop innovative solutions and shape the future of geospatial information for public and private sectors alike.
The network delivers a range of specialised activities, including the EuroSDR EduServ24 e-learning programme, which offers cutting-edge courses on topics such as AI-driven 3D scene capture, point-cloud processing and machine-learning for earth observation. It also hosts thematic Special Interest Groups-most recently the GeoAI SIG-and organises high-impact workshops and publications that address challenges from historical geo-data for the Sustainable Development Goals to the United Nations Framework for Effective Land Administration. Through its annual PhD award, EuroSDR recognises emerging talent and promotes research excellence throughout the continent.
