The Community and Family Training Agency (CAFTA) is a not-for-profit organisation that has been delivering education, training and support programmes since its foundation in 1987. Drawing on a long-standing presence both locally and nationally, CAFTA empowers individuals, families and whole communities - particularly in Ballymun and surrounding areas - by creating pathways to personal and social change.

A core offering is the Community Employment (CE) scheme, which currently supports 21 participants who work and train within the community while providing assistance to partner agencies. This programme is designed to help unemployed people re-enter the workforce through practical experience and tailored training. In addition to the CE scheme, CAFTA runs a range of other training initiatives that address the needs of diverse groups across Ireland.

Through its dedicated board and a network of staff embedded throughout the community, CAFTA continues to champion lifelong learning and social inclusion, ensuring that opportunities are accessible to all who seek them.
