West Offaly Training CLG

West Offaly Training is a not-for-profit training provider that delivers ICDL-accredited and professional courses across Information Technology, business skills and health & safety. As an authorised ICDL Test Centre, the organisation can both teach and facilitate the official examinations, giving learners a seamless route from classroom to certification.

The centre's curriculum spans everything from core IT subjects such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint to specialised programmes in robotics (VEX IQ), coding (HTML, Scratch and upcoming Python), stop-motion filmmaking and after-school digital workshops. In addition, West Offaly Training runs practical health-and-safety sessions-including manual handling and abrasive-wheel safety-as well as community-focused activities such as kayaking and canoeing skills training on the Silver River and Grand Canal.

Training facilities are available in both Banagher and Birr, and the team provides outreach services throughout Offaly and the surrounding counties, catering to school groups, homeschoolers, adults and corporate clients alike. Their highly qualified instructors are praised for making learning both easy and engaging, helping participants of all ages develop the skills they need for personal and professional success.
