Seanmeitheal CLG

Seanmeitheal Company Limited By Guarantee runs the Community Employment (CE) programme, a targeted initiative that helps long-term unemployed and other disadvantaged individuals re-enter the workforce. By offering part-time and temporary placements within local community projects, the scheme provides participants with practical experience, new skills and the confidence to pursue permanent part-time or full-time roles elsewhere.

The CE programme is administered by the Department of Social Protection, while Seanmeitheal's voluntary sponsors plan and manage the placements, ensuring they meet genuine community needs. A diverse group of subsponsors-including Lartigue Monorail, Ard Curam Daycare, Trojan Boxing, Fingue GAA, Clounmacon GAA, Clounmacon Community, Finuge and Lisselton-benefit from the additional support and manpower the scheme delivers.

Through these collaborative placements, Seanmeitheal not only assists individuals in gaining valuable work experience but also strengthens the fabric of local communities across Ireland.
