Taghmon Family Resource Centre CLG

Taghmon Family Resource Centre (FRC) is a community-driven organisation in Taghmon, County Wexford, dedicated to reducing disadvantage and social deprivation through a wide-ranging suite of support services. The centre acts as a hub for information, referrals and local voluntary groups, offering a welcoming space where individuals and families can access practical help, training and social activities.

Key services include targeted groups such as senior ladies, women's and men's social clubs, a Traveller Girls group, parent-toddler sessions and a weekly social-singing circle. The FRC also provides one-to-one advocacy and support for families, counselling for teens, adolescents and adults, and a play programme for children aged four to eleven. Employment assistance covers CV preparation, job-application guidance and interview coaching, while senior residents receive help with Pobal applications. Additional office support-typing, form printing and registration for the National Childcare Scheme-ensures that everyday administrative needs are met.

The centre relies on volunteers and an active Board of Trustees, inviting community members to contribute their time and ideas. By fostering inclusive, locally-based education, training and recreational opportunities, Taghmon FRC empowers disadvantaged groups to participate fully in community life.
