Company Description

Teach Dara Community & Family Resource Centre is a not‑for‑profit organisation dedicated to enriching the lives of families and residents in Kildare Town and the surrounding hinterland. Housed in a historic 1884 building that was once the home of the De La Salle Brothers, the centre operates on a long‑term lease from St Brigid’s Parish and delivers a wide range of community‑focused services.

The centre’s core offering centres on affordable, flexible space for meetings, workshops and events, with three well‑equipped rooms that can accommodate groups from 20 to 45 people. Rates are available for hourly, half‑day and full‑day bookings, and a modest charge covers tea, coffee and biscuits. Additional resources such as an overhead projector, internet access, flip‑charts and markers are provided, with optional extras on request. Membership options are tailored for volunteer‑run organisations and those with staff, reinforcing Teach Dara’s role as a hub for local groups, training sessions, parent‑and‑toddler programmes and strategic community forums.

Supported by Cill Dara Ar Aghaidh Teoranta and European rural‑development funding, Teach Dara continues to foster a vibrant, inclusive environment where families, volunteers and community organisations can connect, learn and thrive.
