School Cards Limited operates the schoolcards.ie service, a subsidiary of Print Ready, a family-run print shop with over 50 years of combined printing experience. The company provides a school Christmas card fundraising programme for schools across Ireland. Schools register their interest, children create their own Christmas artwork, and the company prints and posts sample cards and order forms. Once orders are placed, the cards are dispatched to the school for distribution. Each pack contains 10 square cards (150mm x 150mm when folded), with the school’s name and crest printed on the back, and comes with 10 white matching envelopes. There are no upfront costs; payment is made only after delivery. The company suggests a resale price of €10 to €12 per pack, with a cost of €7 per pack, or €6 if registered before October 1st. A minimum combined order of 80 packs per school is required. Over 160 schools have participated, and 60,000 children took part last year.
