Charlestown Swimming Pool & Recreational Co. CLG

Charlestown Swimming Pool & Recreational Co. (Company Limited By Guarantee) is a community-run, not-for-profit organisation that provides a safe, family-friendly aquatic facility in Charlestown, County Mayo. The 22-metre indoor pool, with a shallow end of 1.2 m and a deep end of 1.7 m, is supervised by two qualified lifeguards and welcomes swimmers of all ages and abilities throughout the summer months (June-August).

Visitors can purchase passes, book swim sessions and enrol in lessons online, with the next season opening in June 2026 after a brief closure in 2025. The centre also offers spacious dressing rooms, lockers, hot showers and baby-changing facilities, making it an ideal venue for families, friends and local clubs.

Operated by a volunteer committee, the Aqua Centre benefits from support through the Mayo North East LEADER Partnership and the Rural Development Programme, reinforcing its role as a valued hub for health, recreation and community spirit in the west of Ireland.
