Carolan Murphy Ltd is a construction contractor founded in August 2012 by John Murphy and Hugh Carolan, blending academic insight with hands-on expertise. Since its inception the firm has built a reputation for reliability, responsibility and cost-efficient delivery, with a clear focus on client satisfaction and continuous learning in modern building methods.

The company's portfolio spans housing and renovation, commercial projects and civil works, with a particular specialisation in energy-efficient solutions. Notable public-works achievements include the Europa-award-winning Patrick Kavanagh Visitor Centre, the conversion of Bailieborough Courthouse into a performance space, and the creation of bespoke recording studios such as the Tyrone Guthrie facility. Residential work showcases award-winning dwellings like Killan House, featuring polished concrete worktops and innovative lighting, while office refurbishments, for example the Cavan Social Welfare reception, demonstrate the firm's attention to detail and client-driven design.
