Colaiste Ghaoth Dobhair Teoranta

Coláiste Ghaoth Dobhair is a dedicated Gaeltacht education centre founded in 2010 to deliver immersive Irish‑language courses for both young learners and adults. Based in the vibrant community of Gaoth Dobhair, the college offers a full‑scale Gaeltacht experience, combining classroom instruction with cultural activities that showcase the rich language, music and landscape of the area.

The college’s flagship programmes for 2026 include a Summer Secondary School Course (Course A) for 1st‑ and 2nd‑year pupils and a broader Summer Secondary School Course (Course B). In addition, it runs specialised “Tréimhsí Foghlama” – learning trips for teachers – which provide professional development in authentic Irish‑speaking environments. Testimonials from Gaelscoileanna such as Gaelscoil Bhaile Munna, Gaelscoil na gCeithre Maistrí and Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada highlight the college’s high‑quality teaching, engaging activities and the lasting impact of its cultural immersion. Coláiste Ghaoth Dobhair therefore serves schools, teachers and individual learners seeking a comprehensive, enjoyable pathway to fluency in Irish.
