Waterford Volunteer Centre CLG

Waterford Volunteer Centre Company Limited by Guarantee is the hub for all volunteering activity across the city and county of Waterford. Its core mission is to strengthen and support the voluntary sector, helping individuals find rewarding roles while enabling organisations to recruit, manage and retain volunteers effectively.

The centre offers a suite of services tailored to both volunteers and host organisations. People can browse and apply for current opportunities, register their own projects and receive guidance on best practice through the Volunteer Charter – a two‑way guide that sets clear expectations for volunteers and organisations alike. In addition, the centre provides a dedicated Garda vetting service, including electronic vetting for work with children and vulnerable adults, and offers flexible support via drop‑in sessions, scheduled appointments, telephone advice and video‑call consultations. Organisations can also post opportunities directly through the centre’s online platform.

Based in Waterford, the centre now operates from a new, centrally‑located venue on O’Connell Street, welcoming visitors on Tuesdays and Thursdays during dedicated drop‑in hours.
