The Happy Tummy Co Ltd

The Happy Tummy Co Limited is a pioneering bakery that treats the gut as the body’s largest sensory organ, turning bread into a form of medicine. Based in Westport, Co. Mayo, the company creates high‑fibre, whole‑grain loaves – most notably the signature “Happy Tummy Loaf” – that are deliberately fermented to support digestive health, reduce inflammation and even boost mental wellbeing. Their philosophy blends artisan baking with scientific insight, offering food that not only tastes good but also nourishes the microbiome.

Beyond the bakery, Happy Tummy provides a suite of gut‑focused services: a one‑day, hands‑on course in Westport where founder Karen O’Donoghue teaches the fundamentals of anti‑inflammatory cooking; 15‑minute phone consultations for personalised dietary advice; and a range of recipes, gift cards and online resources. International customers across the EU, North America and the UAE can order the refrigerated loaves, while local enthusiasts can attend workshops, purchase the breads, or book a consultation to start their own journey toward a healthier gut.
