Safe Water Training is an Irish‑Sailing recognised training centre dedicated to keeping boaters safe afloat across Ireland’s inland waterways. Operating from two scenic locations – the village of Cong on Lough Corrib, straddling the Galway‑Mayo border, and Banagher in Offaly on the River Shannon – the company delivers a full suite of powerboat and inland motor‑boat training courses for beginners through to advanced mariners.

Their curriculum includes the Introduction to Powerboating, National Powerboat Certificate, Intermediate and Advanced Powerboat Certificates, Safety Boat Certificate, Coastal for Small Boats Certificate and specialised instructor conversion courses. Graduates of the National Powerboat Certificate can also apply for the International Certificate of Competency (ICC) and a Commercial Endorsement, enabling them to charter vessels abroad or work as crew on passenger‑boat licences. In addition to standard courses, Safe Water Training offers own‑boat tuition, staff training, rescue training and marine consultancy, drawing on decades of operational and instructional experience to provide a professional yet friendly learning environment.
