Tinahely Riding Club CLG

Tinahely Riding Club is a riding club established in 1979 and is one of very few clubs across Ireland to own its own grounds. The current membership stands at approximately 70, with an option to join the club or both the club and the southeast region of the Association of Irish Riding Clubs. Members are active in the competitive fields of show jumping, dressage, eventing and showing.

The club offers an 80 by 60 metre arena available for hire to both members and non-members, subject to availability. The arena is split into a large side primarily for jumping and a smaller side for flatwork and gymnastic work, with a full set of jumps and soft poles on site. The arena can be used by multiple riders at any one time unless blocked out for private clinics or other activities, and lessons are restricted to one at a time.

The cross country course is carefully maintained and fully certified by a qualified course designer, and is available for hire to members and non-members. It includes obstacles such as water jumps, drops, coffins, banks and rollers for schooling horses and riders of all levels. Strict terms and conditions apply, including requirements for a current standard body protector and skull cap, jumping in flagged directions, and no lone riding. The club regularly holds registered and non-registered events for all rider levels and disciplines.
