Davey John’s Forge operates three self-catering holiday stays on a smallholding at Devlinmore, just outside Carrigart on the Fanad peninsula in County Donegal, above Mulroy Bay. The accommodation comprises Ruby’s Cottage, an old Irish stone cottage sleeping six with three bedrooms, a wood-burner, a stone-walled country kitchen and a bay-view garden; and two log cabins, Rae’s Cabin and Margaret’s Cabin, each sleeping two with a vaulted ceiling, tweed headboard and a private covered deck with hot tub. Every stay includes a private, covered hot tub available 24 hours, and guests also have access to a hot-stone sauna in a restored peat shed and a games room in the original forge, both open 24 hours to guests only. Dogs are welcome with no size or breed restrictions, and the property offers enclosed gardens. The business serves couples, families and groups, with the whole estate bookable for up to ten people exclusively. Nearby attractions include beaches, Glenveagh Castle, Mount Errigal and championship golf.
