McAuliffe School of Music is a vibrant teaching centre based in Newport, Co. Tipperary, dedicated to nurturing musical talent of all ages and abilities. Founded and directed by multi‑instrumentalist Brian McAuliffe, the school offers personalised 30‑minute lessons that are tailored to each student’s goals, learning style and experience level, whether they are picking up an instrument for the first time or preparing for graded examinations.

The curriculum spans a wide range of traditional and contemporary instruments – from piano, flute and fiddle to bodhrán and the “music o‑le‑button” – and covers both pleasure‑driven learning and exam‑focused pathways. Instruction is delivered by passionate, skilled teachers who create a fun, welcoming environment, encouraging students to develop confidence and musicality across genres such as Irish traditional, classical, folk and pop.
