The Kabin Studio Company Limited by Guarantee is a not‑for‑profit music and creative hub situated in a repurposed metal container in Knocknaheeny on the Northside of Cork City. Founded in 2012 by GMCBeats with the backing of Music Generation Cork City, the studio has grown into a vibrant community space where songwriters, rappers, musicians, poets, videographers, podcasters and other creatives of all ages can explore and develop their artistic talents.
The Kabin runs a diverse programme of workshops, camps and projects that provide a safe, fun and non‑judgemental environment equipped with instruments, music‑production gear and recording facilities. Participants are encouraged to express themselves through rap, songwriting, poetry, video making, podcasting, art and digital media, fostering both personal growth and collaborative creation. By offering free‑access creative opportunities, The Kabin Studio nurtures local talent while welcoming contributors from beyond the immediate community.
