An Oige (Irish Youth Hostel Association)

AN ÓIGE – the Irish Youth Hostel Association – has been welcoming adventurers of all ages since 1931. As a charitable organisation dedicated to affordable, safe and comfortable accommodation, it operates a network of vibrant hostels across Ireland, including historic Glendalough, the scenic Knockree gateway to the Wicklow Way, and the rugged north‑west at Errigal.

Beyond providing a cosy base for solo backpackers, families and school groups, AN ÓIGE offers a rich programme of activities: monthly guided hikes, specialist retreats, and bespoke group‑booking options. Volunteers can exchange their time and skills for new friendships and unforgettable experiences, while members enjoy exclusive benefits and the chance to support the organisation’s mission.

AN ÓIGE also runs educational programmes for schools and youth groups, fostering a love of nature, heritage and hands‑on learning. Whether you’re looking to book a stay, join a retreat, or simply get involved, the association’s 24/7 online booking system makes planning your Irish adventure effortless.
