Visit USA Committee Ireland is a voluntary, non-profit organisation established to promote the USA as a tourist and business destination. It provides a link between its members, the travel trade, travel media and the consumer, and works closely with the US Foreign & Commercial Service at the US Embassy in Dublin. The committee has members from all aspects of the travel industry, including destinations, airlines, tour operators, tourist boards, travel agents, car hire, hotel groups, cruise lines, shopping outlets and attractions. Its website offers tools to plan trips by geographic region, ideas based on interests such as activities, culture and food, and information on its 75-plus members. It also promotes events, such as those marking the 250th anniversary of American Independence, and publishes news and updates for travellers.
