Through its Visiting Teams - carefully garda-vetted pairings of dog owners and their assessed pets - the charity delivers regular or occasional visits to hospitals, hospices, residential homes and other community centres, offering comfort, companionship and a welcome distraction for patients, residents and staff alike.

To ensure the highest standards of safety and suitability, each dog and owner undergoes a thorough assessment each month, typically held at The Hospice in Harold's Cross. Peata also welcomes new volunteers, sponsors and legacy donors, providing clear pathways for individuals to join the cause, support visits, or contribute financially to the charity's ongoing work.
