Mescan Brewery Ltd

Mescan Brewery Limited is a craft brewery nestled in the foothills of Croagh Patrick, County Mayo. Drawing on age‑old Belgian brewing techniques, the small but passionate team creates award‑winning, vegan‑friendly beers that are deliberately slow‑crafted, unfiltered and unpasteurised, allowing each bottle to develop depth and character over two to three months.

The brewery’s core offering is its range of traditionally inspired Belgian‑style ales – from the crisp Westport Blond and the aromatic Seven Virtues Lager to the richly complex Westport Red Tripel and the robust Special Reserve. All are brewed with Irish ingredients and bottled with the intention of being shared, whether at home or in the taproom. In addition to retail sales through their online shop, Mescan welcomes visitors for weekly and private tours and tastings, providing an immersive look at the brewing process, the people behind the beer, and thoughtful food pairings set against the dramatic Mayo landscape.

Mescan’s focus on patience, passion and purpose makes it a destination for beer lovers, tourists and anyone seeking a genuine, flavour‑forward craft experience rooted in both Irish terroir and Belgian tradition.
