Amicitia Health & Social Care CLG is a community-focused organisation dedicated to fostering a just transition to a low-carbon future. Drawing inspiration from E.F. Schumacher's "Small is Beautiful" philosophy, Amicitia works at the local level, delivering place-based interventions that link health, social care and environmental sustainability.

The charity's current portfolio includes climate-action initiatives, a Kickstart Fund supporting social-enterprise projects, and programmes that promote positive ageing. Its flagship "A Giant Leap" project explores the everyday relationship with plastic through speculative design, encouraging residents and stakeholders to rethink material use and waste.

Through a blend of research, advocacy and hands-on projects, Amicitia serves individuals and communities across Ireland, helping them navigate the challenges of climate change while enhancing wellbeing and social cohesion.
