Lifestart Supporting Parents Leitrim, Sligo and West Cavan CLG is a not‑for‑profit organisation dedicated to improving outcomes for young children by empowering the adults who care for them. Working in partnership with the Lifestart Foundation and funded by Tusla, the Child and Family Agency and the HSE, the service provides evidence‑based information on early development and learning, helping parents feel confident and capable in their parenting role.

The flagship offering is the free, high‑quality Growing Child programme, available to parents of children from birth to three years (extending to five years where required) across Sligo, Leitrim and West Cavan. In addition to the programme, Lifestart runs specialised initiatives such as the Breastfeeding Friendly Healthy Ireland project, and supplies a wealth of resources through its blog and newsletter. Referrals can be made by parents or professionals via downloadable forms, ensuring that families can easily access the support they need.
