Cais na Tire Limited is a family‑run artisan cheese producer founded by Barry and Lorraine, a young couple who share a farming heritage and a degree in Agricultural Science from UCD. Based in the rural community of Cloninaha, Terryglass, Co. Tipperary, they specialise in crafting high‑quality sheep’s cheese that is both easily digested and highly nutritious, offering a wholesome alternative to traditional cow’s varieties.

The cheese is hand‑made on‑site two to four times a week, with each batch beginning with pasteurised sheep’s milk to which carefully selected cultures, lysozyme and rennet are added. This hands‑on approach ensures consistent flavour and texture while preserving the natural benefits of sheep’s milk. Customers can purchase the range of cheeses directly through the company’s online shop, where the fresh products are shipped nationwide.
