National Institute for Prevention & Cardiovascular Health CLG

The National Institute for Prevention and Cardiovascular Health (NIPC) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to reducing preventable heart disease through life-course prevention, research, education and implementation. By generating world-class evidence on risk factors and delivering large-scale studies across six WHO regions, NIPC shapes clinical practice, informs guidelines and influences health-policy both in Ireland and internationally.

NIPC's education portfolio includes three-month online courses, a suite of MSc programmes in partnership with the University of Galway, and a calendar of masterclasses, webinars and conferences that up-skill clinicians, researchers and community health professionals. Its innovation work brings digital health tools, personalised prevention strategies and new rehabilitation models into practice, while its implementation team embeds proven approaches into health-service and community settings to improve equity and sustainability.

Through collaborative partnerships with healthcare providers, academic institutions and global heart-health organisations, NIPC drives research, education and innovative delivery models that translate evidence into real-world impact, helping patients and health systems achieve better cardiovascular outcomes.
