Cultivate Ltd

Cultivate, the Sustainable Ireland Coop, is a national NGO based in Cloughjordan Ecovillage that supports community-led responses to environmental, social, and economic challenges. It empowers communities through training, events, and collaborative action, with a focus on strengthening local economies and advancing a just, regenerative future. The organisation builds community resilience through its Community Climate Coaches programme, which equips local catalysts with facilitation skills, and offers Permaculture and Regenerative Design courses. It also progresses agroecology and local food systems by convening the Feeding Ourselves Gathering and Community of Practice, and supports short food supply chains through European Living Labs. As a founding member of the Wellbeing Economy Hub for Ireland, Cultivate co-develops programmes that foster imagination-led approaches to economic change. Since 2008, it has curated Global Green, a pop-up ecovillage at the Electric Picnic festival, bringing together over 30 organisations and 300 artists and activists.
