Ferns Community Development Association CLG

Ferns Community Development Association (CLG) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Ferns, the ancient capital of Leinster. By bringing together local businesses, volunteers and residents, the association works to preserve the village's rich heritage, promote tourism and provide a vibrant social hub for the community.

Key initiatives include the Medieval Ferns Experience - a unique visitor attraction that brings the town's Gaelic and Norman past to life - and the Ferns Heritage Trail, which links historic monastic ruins, a Norman castle, a miraculous well and the grave of an Irish king. The association also organises regular community events such as the popular Christmas Lights Table Quiz, supports the Ferns Tidy Towns Group, and maintains a busy calendar of newsletters, sports, crafts and other leisure activities.
