The Educational Studies Association of Ireland (ESAI) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to fostering a vibrant community of education researchers across the island of Ireland. By creating inclusive networks and collaborative spaces, ESAI advances scholarly work from early-career investigators to established academics, helping them to share innovative perspectives and develop robust research agendas.

Key initiatives include the annual ESAI Conference, a flagship event that brings together scholars to present cutting-edge papers, and the ESAI Early Career Researcher Award, which recognises outstanding conference contributions from emerging researchers. ESAI also supports international collaboration through partnerships with special interest groups and networks such as the Nordic Educational Research Association and the Scottish Educational Research Association, and it promotes worldwide research collaboration via the WERA-IRNs, interdisciplinary research networks that synthesise knowledge on specific educational topics.
