Juniors for Juniors Foundation CLG

Juniors for Juniors Foundation is a Waterford-based charity that raises funds for special causes, primarily supporting the children’s ward at University Hospital Waterford (UHW). The foundation’s mission is to bring comfort and solace to young patients by mobilising and raising awareness with children and the community to raise funds for the ward. Funds raised help buy much-needed equipment, upgrade hospital facilities, improve the child-friendly aesthetic of patient rooms, and supply new, comfortable, modern cots and beds for admitted children.

The organisation runs fun and exciting campaigns that everyone can participate in, including school and club events, teddy bear picnics, marathons, bake sales, bazaars, community games, and coffee mornings. It also hosts signature events such as the Winter Ball and the Teddy Bear Hospital. The foundation encourages parents, teachers, community organisations, and local businesses to contribute time, money, or ideas, and shares stories of children it has helped, such as those of Finn, Robbie, Adam, and Felicity.
