The charity operates a free, 24-hour crisis text line - simply text "LA519" to 50808 - and maintains an online hub that collates links to local mental-health services, suicide-prevention agencies and qualified psychotherapists, with a particular focus on supporting teenagers experiencing suicidal thoughts.
Beyond immediate crisis support, LA519 funds and delivers Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) training and resilience talks, equipping individuals, schools and community groups with the skills to recognise and intervene in at-risk situations. The organisation also runs fundraising initiatives such as the "Way of Saint Francis" 100 km pilgrimage in Italy and the "Dunmurry Dipper Challenge", channeling proceeds directly into life-saving training programmes.
