Save Our Homeless Dundalk CLG

Save Our Homeless Dundalk (SOHD‑CLG) is a completely voluntary charity dedicated to alleviating poverty and economic hardship in Dundalk and the wider North Louth area. For over six years the organisation has mobilised local volunteers, schools, businesses and elected representatives to collect and distribute essential items – from non‑perishable food and fresh produce to clothing, toys, school supplies and heating fuel – to individuals and families who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or experiencing severe financial strain.

The charity’s core services include a centrally‑located donation and collection centre, regular food‑cloud distributions, emergency accommodation set‑up, and the provision of basic survival kits such as blankets, sleeping bags and heating fuel. Special attention is given to vulnerable groups, with dedicated supplies for children, young families and the elderly. By operating without discrimination and maintaining strict confidentiality, SOHD‑CLG ensures that anyone who walks through its doors receives the help they need, relying entirely on the generosity of the local community.
