Strokestown House Limited is the custodial and operating body behind Strokestown Park House, its historic gardens and the re‑imagined National Famine Museum. Based at the iconic Palladian estate in County Roscommon, the company invites visitors to explore the intertwined personal and national narratives that shape Ireland’s past.

The organisation offers a range of immersive experiences: guided tours of the 18th‑century mansion, which reveal the lives of both gentry and servants; family‑friendly walks through the walled gardens, pleasure grounds and woodland trails, showcasing rare plants, heritage roses and historic architectural features; and the award‑winning National Famine Museum, which brings the Great Irish Famine to life through local accounts, artefacts and interactive displays. In addition, Strokestown House Limited runs the National Famine Way – a 165 km heritage trail tracing the 1847 exodus of 1,490 people from the estate to Dublin – and provides educational programmes, children’s activity trails, a woodland café and a shop stocked with locally‑sourced treats and memorabilia.
