Acorn to Oak Childcare Limited operates a creche in Portumna, east Galway, catering for children aged 3 months to 12 years. The facility is open from 7am to 6pm, 51 weeks per year, and offers full day care. Rooms include a Baby room, Wobbler room, Toddler room, Junior Montessori 1 and 2, and Senior Montessori 1 and 2. The company first opened in September 2007 and employs over 20 childcare practitioners, all holding a minimum qualification of QQI level 5 in childcare, with others holding QQI level 6, 7, or a degree in Early Years Care and Education.
