Nextstepuni Limited provides online study courses for second-level students in Ireland. Its courses use evidence-based learning strategies drawn from neuroscience and cognitive psychology, and include videos, readings, quizzes, case studies and a 24-hour academic answer service staffed by high-performing Leaving Cert students. Course content is developed with input from high-achieving students and educators, peer-reviewed literature, and is tested in pilot schools before wider release. The company also offers a personalised spaced-repetition study plan. Its pilot programme, run with DEIS schools, reported an average grade increase of 37% among participating students and a 15% rise in progression to third-level education at one school.
