Ballinamore Area Community Council CLG

Ballinamore Area Community Council Clg (BACC) is a community-driven organisation dedicated to making the Ballinamore catchment - covering Aughawillan, Aughnasheelin, Ballinamore, Corraleehan and Drumreilly - a better place to live, work and play. Its core mission centres on job creation and the development of local leisure facilities, while fostering an inclusive, sustainable future for all residents.

BACC delivers a range of programmes that build capacity and strengthen social cohesion. The Capacity-Building Programme deepens relationships forged during its inaugural Peace Impact Project, guiding the council's strategic development. The Community Services Hub, open every second Tuesday, offers information and sign-posting, refreshments, a repair café and a swap shop, providing a welcoming space for neighbours to connect. In addition, the Cross-Border/Cross-Community Schools Project promotes peace and reduces youth involvement in dissident activity by linking schools and young people across Leitrim and Fermanagh. Through initiatives that explore the legacy of past conflict and celebrate local achievements - such as the annual "Love Where You Live" awards - BACC works in partnership with individuals, schools and organisations to unlock the cultural, economic and social potential of the whole locality.
