St.Brigid's Family and Community Centre CLG

St. Brigid's Family and Community Centre is a charitable organisation dedicated to strengthening families and fostering community development for residents of Waterford's inner city and its surrounding neighbourhoods. By offering a holistic Family Support programme, the centre helps families identify local needs, co-create responsive solutions and increase their participation in wider community life. Its Community Development work empowers marginalised groups, giving them a voice in decisions that affect their everyday environment.

A wide range of services is delivered under one roof, including a vibrant Children's Centre, community-employment initiatives, counselling, and a suite of family resources. The centre also operates the Portlaw Resource Hub and runs St. Brigid's charity shops, which generate income to sustain its programmes. Through these initiatives, St. Brigid's champions "people power", ensuring that support is both practical and inclusive, and that every individual has the opportunity to thrive within a resilient, caring community.
