The Irish Coastal Rowing Federation CLG

The Irish Coastal Rowing Federation (ICRF) is the national body that champions the sport of coastal rowing across the island. As a company limited by guarantee, the Federation exists to introduce newcomers to the thrill of rowing on Ireland’s rugged bays and to nurture talent at every level, from schoolchildren to seasoned athletes. By offering a clear entry point for anyone eager to “start your rowing experience,” the ICRF provides coaching pathways, race calendars and a supportive community that celebrates the grit and determination inherent to the sport.

Beyond organising events, the Federation acts as a hub for information, advocacy and camaraderie, linking clubs, volunteers and supporters through an active social‑media presence. It also promotes the heritage of coastal rowing, honours the contributions of key figures within the community, and encourages fundraising initiatives that sustain local clubs. Whether you are looking to try a first paddle, compete in a regatta, or simply stay connected with Ireland’s vibrant coastal rowing scene, the ICRF is the friendly, professional gateway to the water.
