Clare Walks CLG

Clare Walks Company Limited by Guarantee is a not-for-profit organisation managed by a voluntary board of management. It oversees the maintenance and general upkeep of the East Clare Way and the Mid Clare Way, ensuring these trails remain accessible amenities for the public and tourists. The company also manages a community employment scheme to carry out maintenance work, relying on fundraising and donations for resources. Its main aims include maintaining and marketing these long-distance walking routes, developing loop walks in partnership with Failte Ireland, and revitalising local communities by increasing tourist numbers to rural areas of County Clare. Additionally, the organisation is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of specific town facilities in Tulla and Quin, including sports complexes and GAA grounds.
