South Westmeath Employment, Education & Training Services (S.W.E.E.T.S.) is a community-driven organisation that delivers professional information, education and training to residents of South Westmeath. Established as a Company Limited by Guarantee, S.W.E.E.T.S. operates as a Community Services Project funded by Government and European resources through Pobal, with a clear focus on supporting marginalised and socially excluded groups who may otherwise lack access to mainstream services.

The service portfolio includes a range of affordable courses designed to boost employability and personal development. Learners can enrol in computer skills, self-development workshops, health and safety training, and specialist programmes such as the Safe Pass, First Aid (including modules for mothers, babies and toddlers), and a Primary Course in Food Safety (HACCP). By providing these locally-based learning opportunities, S.W.E.E.T.S. not only equips individuals with practical qualifications but also creates employment opportunities for people from disadvantaged backgrounds within the community.
