Kerry Deaf Resource Centre Company Limited By Guarantee is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting deaf, hard-of-hearing, deaf-blind and their families across the Kerry region. The centre offers a comprehensive suite of services, from Deaf Awareness training and Irish Sign Language classes to adult literacy programmes and computer-skills workshops, all designed to promote independence and community inclusion.

A key specialisation is the provision of accredited interpreting services. Through its R1 accreditation, the centre enables interpreters to deliver both generic and specialised (legal, medical) interpretation at the highest standard, while R2 accreditation covers generic interpreting work. In addition, Kerry Deaf assists clients in acquiring assistive equipment-such as baby alarms and hearing aids-by sourcing products from a wide range of suppliers and managing applications to the HSE Medical and Surgical Aids and Appliances Scheme.

The centre also runs outreach initiatives for older adults, visits day-centres and active-pensioner groups, and participates in research projects aimed at improving deaf-accessibility in public services.
