Carlow Women's Aid CLG

Carlow Women's Aid is a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting families affected by domestic violence and abuse in Carlow and the surrounding community. Working from a non-judgemental, professional and confidential stance, the service offers a safe, welcoming environment where hope, resilience and kindness are nurtured, helping individuals regain strength and rebuild their lives.

The charity provides a free, confidential helpline for information and immediate support, alongside face-to-face appointments and drop-in sessions. Specialist services include legal information and court accompaniment for protective orders, comprehensive risk assessments and safety-planning in partnership with the Garda, Tusla, housing and health agencies, and a range of therapeutic options such as counselling from a family psychotherapist. On-request day-respite facilities are also available, offering a calm space for reflection and recovery.

Through a holistic, solution-focused approach, Carlow Women's Aid walks alongside survivors, empowering them to move towards a safer, brighter future.
