Company Description

Clarecare Company Limited By Guarantee is the longest-serving community and voluntary organisation in County Clare and its surrounding areas, having operated since 1968. Its core mission is to improve the lives of individuals and families through a wide-ranging portfolio of support services that are embedded in the local community.

Key services include the Family Support Service, which offers both individual and group assistance for parents, children and adolescents, and the Home Support Service, delivered by more than 300 dedicated staff across five local offices in Ennistymon, Killaloe, Kilrush, Shannon and Ennis. Clarecare also runs the Bushypark Addiction Treatment Centre, providing holistic counselling for alcohol, drug and gambling dependencies, as well as a free Social Work Service for older persons aged 65 and over. Its Day Care Centres in Killaloe, Ennis and Ennistymon deliver nutritious meals and engaging activities, while the network of Thrift Shops supplies affordable clothing and household items, with proceeds reinvested directly into community programmes.

Through these initiatives, Clarecare reaches families, older adults and vulnerable individuals across the county, delivering thousands of hours of care, meals and therapeutic support each year and relying on a strong volunteer base to sustain its impact.
