St. Canice's Community Action CLG

St. Canice's Community Action Company Limited By Guarantee, operating as the Fr McGrath Family Resource Centre, is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to strengthening families and communities across Kilkenny. The centre delivers a broad suite of social, developmental and educational supports, ranging from quality early-years care and after-school programmes for children, to youth leadership projects and creative workshops for young people aged 10-23.

For adults and parents, the centre offers low-cost or free one-to-one counselling, parenting training, and a variety of employment, education and IT training schemes, including community-employment placements and specialised peer-led recovery support through the Better Together initiative. Additional services include immigrant integration assistance, mental-health and well-being groups, and affordable space for community meetings, training and performances at St Canice's Neighbourhood Hall.

Through these programmes, St Canice's provides a welcoming, inclusive environment where individuals and families can develop confidence, skills and lasting connections, helping them to thrive both locally and beyond.
