North West S.T.O.P. Company Limited By Guarantee is a voluntary, community-based organisation dedicated to suicide prevention across the north-west of Ireland. By offering a free, confidential counselling service, the charity provides a safe space for individuals of all ages to discuss loss, stress, confusion, conflict and other painful experiences. Clients can be matched with a qualified counsellor within 48 hours, with support available from 8 am to 8 pm, seven days a week.

The service portfolio includes general counselling, specialised bereavement support for families affected by suicide, and alternative-therapy programmes for children and adolescents coping with trauma, depression or suicidal thoughts. In addition, North West S.T.O.P. promotes positive mental wellbeing through outreach at informational fairs and community events. Counsellors operate throughout Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, west Cavan and north Mayo, ensuring that help is accessible wherever it is needed.

Funded entirely by public donations and volunteer effort, every contribution stays within the local community, enabling the organisation to maintain its free-of-charge model and continue delivering vital mental-health support to those who need it most.
