Sosad Ireland Company Limited By Guarantee is a charitable organisation that has been supporting individuals and families across Ireland since 2007. Its core mission is to provide compassionate, confidential assistance for people facing mental-health challenges, recognising that early intervention can save lives. By offering a person-centred, professional approach, Sosad empowers those experiencing suicidal thoughts, anxiety, depression, self-harm, low mood, grief or bereavement to regain control of their wellbeing.

Key services include a 24-hour helpline, professional counselling (now available for a nominal fee), online dialectical-behaviour therapy (DBT) groups, and regular drop-in sessions such as Drop-In Hope in Laois. All interactions are handled with strict discretion to ensure client privacy. As a non-government-funded charity, Sosad relies on the generosity of donors, volunteers and corporate partners to keep its lifeline running, train volunteers and expand its reach throughout the country.
