Ardee Baroque CLG

Ardee Baroque Company Limited by Guarantee is the charitable organisation behind the Ardee Baroque Festival, one of Ireland’s premier classical‑music events. Each November the company curates a weekend of early‑music performances in the historic market town of Ardee, County Louth, celebrating repertoire from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.

The festival’s programme blends established talent with community outreach. Highlights include the Irish Baroque Orchestra under Artistic Director Peter Whelan, the internationally acclaimed consort Fretwork, and a specially commissioned school show – “Baroque and Roll!” – performed by local opera stars Dr Gavan Ring and Nicola Ring to bring baroque arias into a modern, electrifying context for young audiences. By offering concerts, educational workshops and school performances, Ardee Baroque serves both seasoned classical enthusiasts and the next generation of music lovers, fostering a vibrant cultural hub in the heart of Louth.
