Catholic Comment

Catholic Comment is an independent organisation that brings together a diverse panel of lay speakers who are passionate about presenting the Catholic faith in the public arena. Drawing on personal experience of living as Christians today, its members offer a positive, yet effective, approach to communication that seeks to move away from heated polemics and create space for genuine dialogue. While the group does not speak officially for the Church, it complements the work of bishops and other authentic Catholic voices, aiming to illuminate the life-giving message of Catholicism in media and public debate.

The organisation provides a range of services, including media appearances, public speaking engagements and training programmes for new speakers. It also hosts public seminars that showcase its distinctive communication style. Recent activities have included a London conference in partnership with Catholic Voices and Word on Fire, as well as the launch of a refreshed website designed to make its resources more accessible. Catholic Comment therefore serves anyone seeking thoughtful, well-grounded representation of Catholic values in contemporary discourse.
