Connemara Therapeutic Riding Company Limited by Guarantee delivers equine‑assisted activity that harnesses the unique bond between horse and rider to promote physical, emotional and social development. Based in the stunning countryside of Clifden, Connemara, Co Galway, the organisation offers a safe, multisensory environment where participants can improve balance, coordination, muscle tone and posture while building confidence and self‑esteem.

The centre’s programmes are tailored to individuals of all ages living with conditions such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, autism, Down’s syndrome, learning disabilities, mental‑health challenges, acquired brain injury and sensory impairments. Services include bespoke therapy programmes, individual, group or sibling sessions, dedicated school programmes, summer camps and holiday packages – each designed to meet specific therapeutic goals.

With a team of qualified CTR coaches, volunteers and clients working together, Connemara Therapeutic Riding creates a supportive community where “when the world stops making sense, the only place that feels like home is beside a horse.” Their work has even been featured on TG4’s Duiche, showcasing the transformative power of therapeutic riding in the heart of the West
