Wide Street Brewing Company Limited is an independent microbrewery based in Ballymahon, Co. Longford, situated on the edge of the Royal Canal Greenway. The company specialises in wild and mixed fermentation methods, utilising traditional brewing processes with open top-fermenters. Their beers are unfiltered, unpasteurised, and can-conditioned using a custom blend of Brettanomyces, Saccharomyces, and Lactobacillus strains. This approach results in dry, fully fermented beers with enhanced fruity flavours. Since commencing operations in May 2019, the brewery has released various styles including saisons, grisettes, table beers, and aged sour beers. They also produce alternative styles such as a Farmhouse Pilsner and a Cashmere IPA without Brettanomyces. The founders draw inspiration from global beer travels and home-brewing experiences to create innovative products for consumers seeking distinctive craft ales.
