The Irish Blue Cross

The Irish Blue Cross is a charitable organisation founded in 1945 that provides low‑cost, means‑tested veterinary care to sick and injured pets across the Republic of Ireland. Each day its network of ten mobile clinics and a permanent centre in Inchicore welcomes around 16,000 animals, offering urgent treatment that many owners could not otherwise afford.

Beyond emergency care, the charity runs a range of support programmes – from one‑off and regular donations, legacy giving and corporate partnerships, to fundraising events and volunteer opportunities. Its online shop also sells the popular 2026 calendar, with proceeds helping to sustain the vital services. Because demand outstrips capacity, a waiting list exists for new clients, underscoring the importance of community backing.

The Irish Blue Cross is driven by a simple belief: every pet deserves a chance at health, and every pet lover can make a difference. Whether you donate, volunteer, or simply spread the word, you become part of a network that keeps countless four‑legged companions safe and well‑cared for.
